Cybersecurity Expert, Academic Leader & Digital Transformation Advocate
Dr. Patricia Ghann is a seasoned Computer Science Lecturer, Researcher, and Higher Education Leader with over 15 years of experience in academia and digital capacity building.
She holds a PhD in Computer Application and Technology with specialization in Information Security from Jiangsu University, China; an MSc in Computer Science from De Montfort University, UK; and a BSc in Renewable Natural Resources Management from KNUST, Ghana.
Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and Dean of Students' Affairs at Koforidua Technical University, she has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students in courses such as Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, and Web Development.
Dr. Ghann is also the Executive Director of Webbase Consult, where she leads digital skills training, entrepreneurship support, and women-in-tech initiatives. She plays a pivotal role as the Eastern Regional Ambassador for the Women in Cybersecurity Ghana Chapter (WiCyG) and has developed partnerships between academia, industry, and international institutions to promote inclusive education and innovation.
Her research interests focus on cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and access control systems. She has contributed significantly to the field through publications and practical implementations in information security.
